East Midlands Experiences An Earthquake
The British Geological Survey has confirmed that there was a 2.9 magnitude (Richter Scale) earthquake near Loughborough at 5.20am on the 18th January. The earthquake was 18km deep. Scientists have said that it was 1 million times weaker than the 9.0 that his Japan in March 2011.
